Starbucks and Halloween

Today’s post is a re-purposed Starbucks bottle. A member of my downline gave me a similar one with the same treat last year for Halloween. It is now my FAVORITE recipe! 020

RECIPE:

Combine equal parts of peanuts and candy corn to make the delicious snack. It tastes just like Reeses cups…. LOVE!
021Check out the little bat flying around on top of the bottle! To make the flying bat, I folded a piece of card stock in half and inserted it fold-first part-way into the Bitty Bat punch. This creates two bats connected by a fold. You Like? Check out similar objects at Create with Connie and Mary and participate in the “Anything but a card” challenge:  CCMC118 - Theme Challenge

Today’s post is another “fast” one! I adore the whole 1800s London Halloween Suite from the current Holiday Mini Catalog. The image shown in the necklace here is from the Spooky Night Rub-Ons. The glass tile is 7/8” square and I just cut a piece of Old Olive card stock to size then applied the rub on. Easy Peasy. I also attached one of the Rhinestone jewels to the front of the tile. Stay tuned and watch the sidebar as I will make the glass tile necklaces available as a kit for you to purchase and decorate yourself! It will include a tutorial with step by step instructions to let you be creative!

Wicked Cool Halloween Card

Today’s post is a quick and easy Halloween card. I used a sketch from a SUDSOL challenge. (SUDSOL stands for Stampin Up Demonstrators Sharing Online and if you’re not a member, click on the button in the bottom right sidebar of this page for a FREE two-week membership.) 002

To make the card I ran the card base through the Big Shot using the Spider Web embossing folder. I could just MARRY that spider web! The designer papers are from the Wicked Fun Designer Series Paper pack and the cute little bat is a fun Stampin Up punch.

Time to make this card – TWO MINUTES. No kidding. Beat that. And just LOOK at how cute and trendy the Wicked Cool stamp set is!Wicked Cool Stamp Set - by Stampin' Up!

Christmas Trees and Buttons!

Today’s post is a couple of simple cards that were inspired and semi-cased from some cards that I saw on Nichole Heady’s Blog, Capture the Moment.

To make the Christmas trees, I used the Pennant Die and the Big Shot.

Same die, different trees! Here’s how:

1. Decide how tall you want the tree to be. Add 1/8”. This is your height measurement.

2. Determine how wide you want the base of the tree to be. Add 1/8”. This is your width measurement. 006

Note: The larger the height measurement and the smaller the width measurement the narrower the tree.

3. Cut a piece of card stock to the height and width you determined. Fold this piece in half width-wise.009

4. Lay this piece on the die so that the folded edge is positioned like the one in the picture on the small pennant.

The folded side is matched up to the “corner” of the pennant where the fold should be but the rest of the piece should be parallel to the edge. Below is a picture of the orientation of the die .pennant die

Christmas Celebrations in Pacific Point

Today’s post is a Christmas Card in unusual colors! I used the Celebrations Designer Paper and coordinating self-adhesive die cuts to create the cards for today. The card is 5-1/4” square in Whisper White card stock. The ornament image is from the Tags til Christmas set and was cut using the Large ornament punch. I added some bling with the rhinestones and a sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set. The green band is one of the adhesive die cuts. I just think it’s too cute!

This card is for that poor soul with a birthday during the holiday season. It has a wreath but fun birthday colors! Same story. Paper and die cuts from Celebrations paper. The wreath is from the Hostess Level One set in the Holiday Mini, Northern Hearts. Oh, yeah, and MORE BLING.

Friends 24-7 in the Lap of Luxury

Was studying on the really pretty “Lap of Luxury” Designer Series Paper and just loving the gorgeous Concord Grape and Pretty in Pink and Basic Gray colors together. Then I noticed this note pad sitting on my desk without any “prettiness” so I Stamped it UP!

The note pad is covered in the Concord Grape card stock and then embellished using the Lap of Luxury papers and Pretty in Pink Card Stock. The center frame was stamped with the Friends 24-7 stamp set and the bird is from the Hostess Level 1 set, Punch Potpourri. (It coordinates with the Bird punch!)

Have a good day and thanks for stopping by!

A Wicked Fun Halloween

Been making some things with the Wicked Fun Specialty Designer Series Paper. Such a cute and “hip” combination of colors! The papers are Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Rich Razzleberry and Basic Black. A very cool look I think. The cards pictured today were stamped using the “Fang-tastic” stamp set in the Holiday Mini Catalog (download a copy from the sidebar) and “Batty for You.”

The little bat feature is so easy since it’s a Stampin Up punch. I mean, you could mass produce bats!

A couple of other notes:

  • The Frankenstein image was stamped over a background that was stamped with the “Friends 24-7” flourish image. It was then punched using the Decorative Label punch.
  • The vampire is mounted on a background that was run through the Big Shot using a textured plate to make polka –dots. It’s kinda hard to see.
  • The black “tag” in the Witch card is embossed using the Spider Web embossing folder ---LOVE!

Northern Hearts Christmas Card

Today’s post is a “quickie.” This card was cased after one made by Nichole Heady over at Capture the Moment. I LOVE this simple look. Here’s the down-low (aka the “DL”):
Card Base: Sahara Sand Card Stock stamped with White Craft ink. The edges are also sponged with the same ink.
Second Layer: The ever-gorgeous Marina Mist Card Stock also stamped with White Craft Ink using the Hostess Level 1 Stamp Set, “Northern Hearts” from the Holiday Mini Catalog (download a copy from the left sidebar). The edges were also sponged and Dazzling 006Diamonds glitter was added to the snowflakes.
Third Layer: Vellum stamped with White Craft Ink using the “All Holidays” stamp set. A length of taffeta ribbon is tied to one end of the piece.

Now, go make your own!
