Christmas Cheer Advent Calendar

I’m kind of excited to bring you WEEK EIGHT of the TWELVE WEEKS OF CHRISTMAS free tutorials.  If you haven’t been following along with us, these gift ideas and instructions are my gift to you!  I am so thankful for my customer, my friends, my followers and, well, YOU!

Today’s project is a special Christmas Advent Calendar.  It only looks like it’s hard or complicated but really it is SO SIMPLE using the elements from the Christmas Cheer Simply Scrappin Kit.  It is a simple frame with magnets attached so that bottle caps can be attached all around the frame.

The ornament in the middle is raised and has a magnet behind it so that the “Countdown” magnet can be placed there.

PLEASE PLEASE leave me a comment and tell me what you think.  I will plan to hang mine using a piece of the gorgeous 1-1/4” Marina Mist Striped Ribbon.  Uh, YES, it ALL coordinates.  Gotta love Stampin’ Up!

Ok, my only question is where do you get all your bottle caps? I've been going crazy trying to scrounge some up, but everyone drinks out of cans!!!!

Carla, I am loving your 12 days of Christmas! I'm always on the lookout for something new to do with my 9yo son, and his big thing this year is bottle caps. We make ornaments every year for his Grandma's with his picture in them, and he's really excited to make the Bottle Cap Necklaces, but with shorter strings so they will be ornaments, and now I have a feeling we'll be doing the Advent Calendar as well. Thank you for sharing your wonderful ideas with us!

This is so cute, did you have a workshop and have all of them purchase the kit? Did you have the bottle caps available to them? What did you use for the tree?.. It is adorable!!
