Big Shot Spirit

This is Stampin’ Up! “Gangsta” style! That’s what happens to you when you have teenagers in the house! My daughter is a Senior in High School this year and is always needing something UNIQUE. Her class decided that the football game Friday night would be a “Black-Out with Neon Accents.” (O-KAAAAYYYY????)

Here’s the explanation: EVERYBODY wears black with some kind of Neon “something” like a hat or scarf. The hats you see were purchased at the Thrift Store for a dollar but

WE CAN’T HAVE A ***PLAIN*** HAT.

So, we Stamped It UP! The letters were cut from an old black shirt we had made out of cotton. Here’s how:

1. Use Heat ‘n Bond and Iron it on the back of the fabric.
2. Run the fabric with the ironed-on Heat ‘n Bond through the Big Shot using the die cut letters from the Serif Essentials Alphabet set.
3. Remove the backing from the letters and IRON it ON the hat! EASY PEASY!

Just think of the possibilities! You could add letters to team t-shirts, tote bags, Christmas Stockings, banners. All SORTS of projects!

Emily and I added some Rhinestone jewels to the letters and tied some black grosgrain ribbon to one side and VOILA – a GANGSTA HAT!
