Shabby Chic

In planning for the upcoming February Scrapbook Class (Feb 22), I have been focusing alot on the shabby chic style. This is the vintage, well-worn and loved look that you've seen in decorating everywhere. You can apply the same principles to your paper crafting too! Shabby chic scrapbooking and card making involve distressing, sanding, inking and other techniques that we will work on at the next class. You won't want to miss it!

This card was made using the same techniques and keeping the simplicity that Shabby chic is known for. Some of the papers and the accent with the sentiment are retired but you could use some of the new papers out now for the same "look." (I just don't have enough sense to make sure what I'm using isn't already retired before I make something for you to see!)

The February scrapbook class will focus on Shabby chic and will use one of the Simply Scrappin' Kits. It will be alot of fun learning how to take those crisp, bright images and make them shabby chic and vintage. Registrations for the class will be posted soon so keep watching!
